While the coronavirus and its health risks are real, the panic, fear and anxiety that we’re experiencing may be equally as alarming. One thing remains clear, however: we, at property.ca, are certain that we will all get through this together. We love and care for our clients. Our priority remains the communities we serve, which consist of our clients, our agents, our employees and partners. We’ve been deemed an essential service, a responsibility we take seriously.


As a company rooted in its values, data, facts and big-picture insights, we want to assure you that we’re committed to providing the best client service possible in a safe and prudent manner. We monitor the situation daily and follow Health Canada’s recommendations very closely. With the recently-announced state of emergency for Ontario, you might be wondering where things stand with your real estate needs. Rest assured, nothing has changed. Since COVID measures were first instituted in March 2020, we’ve been taking every precaution we can to keep everyone protected, and sharing important information to help you navigate the changing market. With the decision to move back into lockdown, that commitment stands. In fact, it’s stronger than ever.


Our agents continue to do in-person showings by appointment, following all health and safety best practices. They have all been fully briefed on all necessary health measures for in-person visits. Beyond that, they will complete your entire transaction electronically, including paperwork, mortgage and legal transactions.

We’re doing everything we can to help you stay healthy and safe

All agents who book showings on our listings must confirm that they and their clients have agreed to following terms:

They aren’t displaying any COVID-19 symptoms.


They haven’t come into contact with anyone experiencing COVID symptoms, who have tested positive in a COVID test or who are waiting for the results of a test.


They haven’t recently travelled outside Canada (including the US) or been in close contact with someone who has.


They have viewed the property online first before an in-person visit.


They limit attendees to 2 people (not including the agent).


They will respect physical distancing guidelines of 2m / 6 ft.


They will wash and sanitize their hands prior to entering the home and wear masks throughout the visit.


They will space out showings and limit the number of people at each showing to one family group at a time, limited to the contract parties.
